3. 葫芦巴(Fenugreek), 用于控制糖尿病的时间是近20多年的事，它富含纤维，含量高达50%，这应是它能降血糖，降血脂的主要原因。有研究表明，每天服用100克葫芦巴籽粉，十天内空腹血糖可降低多达30%，同时改善糖耐量，尿糖可降低高达54%。
4. 甜菊(Stevia), 是一种生长在南美巴西等国的草药, 在这些国家有悠久的用于调节糖尿病的历史，现代的研究也表明它确实能调节血糖。它可能有促进胰腺的功能， 有助于解决糖尿病的病因。它的提取物比单糖甜300倍，因此用于一些糖尿病人作为添加剂来减少糖的摄取。
